Cinnamon buns

A little comfort food with the weather turning..

Easy cinnamon buns

2 c flour (if using gluten free add 1/2c psyllium husk & 1 T tapioca starch)
2 T palm sugar (optional)
4 tsp baking powder
3T butter
1 c milk (almond) you might want to add up to ¼ c water for gluten free flour as it tends to be stiffer and harder to roll

4 T soft butter
1 c palm sugar
1 T cinnamon
1 c raisins
optional additions: 1 c chopped walnuts & 1 finely chopped apple
1/2 c water or fruit/berry preserves (optional, I like to make a thinner paste and spread it on the rolled dough)

Roll out dough as thinly as you can
Spread filling on rolled out dough
Sprinkle on nut/raisin mixture
Roll as tightly as you can
Cut into 1” thick coins and place in pan tightly next to each other
Bake 400 F 35 minutes until golden and crispy!
